Gràcies al cofinançament de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona i a l’Acreditació Severo Ochoa d’Excel·lència, l’Institut de Bioenginyeria de Catalunya (IBEC) llança una convocatòria de participació en el seu nou programa d’Art i Ciència, “Open Dialogues”. Aquesta iniciativa connecta artistes, que son els amb investigadors i investigadores de l’IBEC, afavorint processos de cocreació des de les primeres etapes dels projectes científics. Open Dialogues és un projecte col·laboratiu que té com a objectiu crear espais de trobada que fomentin noves formes de recerca científica i artística.

[ENG] Thanks to the co-funding from the Ajuntament de Barcelona and the Severo Ochoa Accreditation for Excellence, the Institute for Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) is launching a call for participation in its new Art and Science programme, “Open Dialogues”. This initiative connects artists with IBEC researchers, fostering co-creation processes from the earliest stages of scientific projects. Open Dialogues is a collaborative project that aims to create meeting spaces that foster new forms of scientific and artistic research.

Com s’han connectat els artistes amb els investigadors de l’IBEC? / How were artists connected with IBEC researchers?

Un hackathon organitzat per l’IBEC ha posat en contacte artistes i investigadorxs. Al final de la trobada, s’han seleccionat dos equips per desenvolupar els projectes artístics.

A hackathon organised by IBEC brought together artists and researchers. At the end of the event, two teams were selected to develop artistic projects.

Durada i desenvolupament / Duration and development

Durant cinc mesos, dos equips formats per unx artista i un investigador o investigadora de l’IBEC han col·laborat en projectes vinculats a la recerca de l’institut, que es presentaràn el 13 de maig en una exposició col·lectiva.

Over a five-month period, two teams—each formed by one artist and one IBEC researcher—collaborated on projects linked to IBEC’s research, which will be presented in a exhibition on 13rd of May.

EXPOSICIÓ / Exhibition

El proper 13 de maig a les 15:30 h s’inaugurarà al PCB (C/ Baldiri Reixac, 4-12 i 15 – 08028 Barcelona) l’exposició Diàlegs Oberts: Processos Compartits entre Art i Ciència. La mostra presenta les obres creades col·lectivament entre artistes i investigadorxs de l’IBEC, mostrant el procés creatiu compartit i les preguntes i intuïcions que han sorgit al llarg de la seva col·laboració. L’exposició convida el públic a endinsar-se en aquest espai de trobada interdisciplinari, on l’art i la ciència dialoguen per generar noves maneres de percebre, interpretar i compartir coneixement.


[ENG] The exhibition Open Dialogues: Shared Processes Between Art and Science will open on May 13 at 3:30 pm at the PCB (C/ Baldiri Reixac, 4–12 and 15 – 08028 Barcelona). The show presents the works co-created by artists and researchers from IBEC, showcasing their shared creative process and the questions and intuitions that emerged throughout their collaboration. The exhibition invites the public to explore this interdisciplinary meeting space, where art and science engage in dialogue to generate new ways of perceiving, interpreting, and sharing knowledge.
